Book Description:

Great book, I recommend it for anyone who has to balance a busy life, especially if they travel for business. My favorite thing about this book is that it helps you to consider the choices you make, small and large, that are impacting your well being in what could be the chaos of your day to day life. To the author, the actual act of traveling is clearly part of the journey, rather than just a step towards getting where you want to go. She helps you see that you need to consider how you treat your body every step of the way, and isn't giving fluffy impractical advice; she's telling me how, as a busy, working, on the go professional, I can incorporate wellness into my schedule and prevent burn out (which we all seem to be edging nearer to these days!).

Living Well on the Road: Health and Wellness for Travelers by Linden Schaffer (a wellness travel expert, consultant, and founder of the first wellness travel company, Pravassa) was specifically written for men and women who find themselves stressed out, eating badly, skipping the gym, sleeping with a phone rather than a partner, as well as experiencing brain fog and lack of focus. Schaffer herself was an overworked, stressed out, on-the-go professional who was able to find the time to refocus, to recharge, and to recommit to wellness on the road. Now she is sharing her secrets, identifying the obstacles that keep us from experiencing true wellness and, with scientifically backed-data, showing how we too can learn to embrace wellness, recommit to the things that help us feel more energized, more focused, and more mindful of those activities in which we engage. Living Well on the Road is especially recommended to the attention of readers seeking identify those areas of their life that need recharging, and will bring greater awareness to those in search of a way to find wellness, happiness, and overall well-being through busy days. Whether on the road, in the office, or at home, Living Well on the Road will provide information and insight into ways that will dramatically improve mental focus and physical wellness. Thoroughly 'reader friendly' in organization and presentation, Living Well on the Road is very highly recommended for personal reading lists, as well as community and academic library Health/Medicine collections.
