Now here is a combat manual that gets to the heart of the matter in as few broad strokes as possible. Definitely designed for the fighting man today who is laden with body armor. Really, for all you vets who served in Iraq and Afghanistan who carried the standard combat load, "Didn't you feel tired just from basic movements?" I know wearing all that kit doesn't make you as supple or flexible as our man-dressing wearing adversaries.
The Modern Hand to Hand Combat book addresses the issue, looking back at the ancient Samurai warrior who was just as encumbered as the modern Infantry fighting man and fought the hard fights against their foes and still came on top.
A pretty good read, and the author has an extensive knowledge of various martial arts, but don't take his word for it. Read the material and take it with a grain of salt. In the end you, the reader decide what you want to believe.
