The Ketogenic Diet as prescribed in this book dropped my A1c from 9.8 to 7.9. It does not feel like a diet. I have successfully been following the guidelines outlined in this book for 10 weeks now. The doctor says I am loosing about a pound a week, which is a truly nice perk. I cannot say enough great things about this publication and the authors. The Diabetes Ketogenic Diet is a little different than a regular Ketogenic Diet. This book was a great help. It helped me to learn what is okay for me to eat and what is not okay for me to eat. It has been a bit of a trial and error as far as redesigning my kitchen staples and learning how to cook from a total different perspective. Like bread is not wheat based, but cheese based on keto. I also have learned to thicken gravies and soups with plain jello which is extraordinarily great for collagen while loosing weight! Nothing is ever going to be sugar, but Monkfruit Rocks !!
